Forged Steel Products Company

Forged Steel Products is best known for their line of “Vacuum Grip” pliers, tools of exceptional quality with a distinctive handle pattern. In addition to producing notable tools, Forged Steel Products also played an important role in the development of the Snap-On Wrench Company, and was eventually acquired by Snap-on Tools.

Company History

Currently we don’t have very much information regarding Forged Steel Products, but have pieced together parts of their history from public documents and from their association with Snap-on.

The Forged Steel Products Company was founded in 1920 in Newark, New Jersey as a maker of tools and other steel forgings.
