Gilmore family was manufacturer of woodworking auger bits from Cote St. Paul, Montreal, Quebec. Most of the tools are stamped by Gawen Gilmore and made in the early 20th century. His father, Hiram Gilmore, extablished the works in 1850 (information provided via email in March 2016, by Ralph Gilmore, Gawen’s great- grandson).
