Sands Level & Tool Co.

Sands (or Sand’s) Level and Tool Co. has been manufacturing levels and other tools since the late 1890s, with an emphasis on masonry applications. In addition, Sands made cement tools for an unknown time.

They established in 1895 carefully guards their reputation as one of the largest level manufacturing businesses in the world. Julius Sand, the inventor of Sands® Levels was a bricklayer and in 1895 invented the Sands type of “Solid Set” vials.
